Relationships

 To the singles:

Proverbs 18:22
22 He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.

The scripture says he who finds a wife, not a woman. A woman messes up a man's looking when she looks for love. It is a turn off to a man when women look. God created Adam first. Adam was put to work and then God created Eve. It's a turn on when you are not available and he can not see all of your business. Women shouldn't aspire to look like Nicki Minaj. Men may want to look at you but not take you home.

Hold onto God to bring your spouse. Women, stop letting guys run the same game. Keep yourselves and observe him. What god is he serving? Is he serving God or some other god? If he can't show you his phone leave him alone. If he gets nervous when you give him his phone because it is ringing that's a sign he is hiding something.

If you have had sex before repent and do it no more. Don't pray that God takes away the sexual desires because you need it for when you get married. You are not strange for wanting to be loved.

A woman should carry herself like a wife before she can get married and not carry herself like a girl.
For those who are married:

Women should submit to their husband whether or not he is saved.

Ephesians 5:22
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:24
24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Col 3:18
24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

1 Peter 3:1
1 Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,

The scripture does not say to submit to your saved husband. If your husband is not saved pray that God changes him. Husband and wives should not talk to their spouses in a hurtful way.

To the young people:

It is okay to be virgin. If you have had sex you can start over and keep yourself until God brings your spouse. Both young girls and guys have a responsibility to stay pure. Parents should talk to their sons and daughters about sex and waiting until they get married because the youth today know so much.

For everyone:

Men have two people in them: a king or a fool. Which ever you respond to is the one you will get. Women have two people in them: a queen or a fool. Which ever you respond to is the one you will get.  For the married ladies: when you serve your king there is nothing he won't give you.

Proverbs 25:24
24 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.

You shouldn't hide things in a relationship.  Whatever the person is hiding will be magnified after marriage.

Blended Families:

It is an honor to be a step-parent. It's a calling to marry a person with a child and to be a parent of that child. The step-parent has the authority until the child is back home with his or her biological parent. Children should respect their step-parent and it they feel they are grown they can pay their own way.  Jesus grew up in a blended family. When Jesus was found in the temple he told Mary and Joseph he was about his Father's business (Luke 2:49).

My Life Changed at 08:00 PM

Hosea 12:13
13And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Egypt was a place of bondage, no productivity. By a prophet he will bring you out of Egypt. When a prophet showed up in the bible that person's situation changed immediately.

2 Sam 21:22
22These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

When a prophet shows up it is a sign that you are on God's mind. The prophet can change what is written over your life. The devil wants to put the prophet in a bad light.

2 Chron 20:21
21And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

After tonight you will be feed from the guilt of your past.

Free -

It is a state of mind

3 John 2

2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Your natural prosperity will never exceed the prosperity of your mind. What you think will manifest. You must also have freedom in the physical. If you are not free in your environment it will keep you bound. The slaves outnumbered the masters but they were bound. You have to change your environment.

Freedom is a reality. Think of crabs in a bucket. When a crab gets to the top another crab pulls it down. All that crab had to do was to follow the first crab and it would have been free. A messed up environment can make you forget who you are.

1 Cor 15:33

33Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

You may have thought that you would be further in life. A bad environment causes temporary delay.

Giants -

They are of abnormal heights. Golaiath was 9'6"

Gen 6:2
2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Giants come about through illegal relationships. The angels married and slept with human.

Mark 12:25

25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

Gen 19: 1 - 14

1And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
10But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
14And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

Angels came to get Lot out and they had turned themselves into humans. We entertain angels uninformed (Heb 13:2).

David showed up to fight Goliath. He researched his enemy. When you fight you can't win unless you know their strengths and weaknesses. David 5 stones. Goliath had 4 brothers. David's enemies underestimated him. You can't take your enemies for granted & prepare to fight. The taller the object the longer it takes to get out of the show.

The Past -

It's like a ghost and it haunts you at night. The past causes you to loose sleep and rest. It is like a lion hunting its prey. The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). The devil is like a roaring lion (1 Pet 5:8). Some of us are identified by our past. It can be overcome.

David fought 4 giants:

1st giant -

David killed Goliath. His name means splendor. Splendor means to be grand. He was the champion of the Philistines. Sometimes we face situations that blindsides us. Don't be deceived by the splendor. The enemies are willing to lose their life to destroy yours. The enemy is real. You have to fight the enemy for the rest of your life. The devil left Jesus for a season.

2nd giant -

2 Sam 21:16
16 And Ishbi-Benob, one of the descendants of Rapha, whose bronze spearhead weighed three hundred shekels[a] and who was armed with a new sword, said he would kill David.

Some of us know we are getting into. You bought the car   and house you couldn't afford, got involved with your boyfriend you shouldn't have involved yourself with, drank the wine, ect.  The name Ishbi-Benob tells where he is from. You put your destiny on the line when you involve yourself with something you shouldn't. You will be delivered when you use the gifts of the Father.

3rd Giant -
2 Sam 21:18

18 In the course of time, there was another battle with the Philistines, at Gob. At that time Sibbekai the Hushathite killed Saph, one of the descendants of Rapha.

Saph means tall and he was tall and lanky. Goliath was stocky. The enemy wants to know if can separate you from the water which is symbolic of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is always with You. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

4th giant -
2 Sam 21:19-20
19 In another battle with the Philistines at Gob, Elhanan son of Jair[c] the Bethlehemite killed the brother of[d] Goliath the Gittite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver’s rod.
20 In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot—twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha. 21 When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimeah, David’s brother, killed him.

This giant has no name. It's not the name that matters but the environment. You thought you were delivered and here comes a giant. Also notice that  another giant had 6 fingers and toes on each hand and foot. 6 is the number of man. You will have to overcome man. All you have to do is watch your environment.  A tree shall be known by it's fruit (Luke 6:44). The best fruit is at the top.  Don't be afraid of other peoples' thoughts. No everyone can go with you where you are going. You've been losing the race because of unnecessary weight. Man has been hindering your income and progress. Hand symbolizes work and income. Feet symbolizes progress. People are in your life for a season, for a reason, or for treason.

When you go to Starbucks they ask you for your name. They will put your name on a cup and you have to wait for your drink. No one else can take your cup. If someone does take your cup they are obligated to remake your drink. You have blessings on the way with your name on it!

When the Earth/Saints Quake

Math 1- 8
1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

In 2011 we are closer to the Lord's return. Are you ready for Him? When we see these things they are signs for his return. We don't now when He is coming back. Don't fear. We know what is to come next because Jesus has warned us.

5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

False prophets, preachers, ect will come. Don't let them deceive you.

6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

There will be wars, countries will be against each other. There are also wars within families and in your mind. Why does it take an earthquake to get closer to Jesus? 9/11 woke up America for a season. When things were alright, people fell into their same habits.

Katrina hit and the churches were flooded with people again. The rebuilding process started and we became comfortable.

The tsunamis hit and the cycle started all over again. It happened again when the earthquakes it Haiti. People died. We stopped sinning and got closer to God. We cooled off again. Then the earthquakes hit Japan. It shouldn't take a tragedy to get closer to Jesus. We should be close to Him because he loves us, provide for us and died for us. Jesus is still keeping us today!

2 Chron 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

The land is sick right now. Sin will cause things to speed up. Sometimes we need to ask God if we have brought things on ourselves. We all have something in us that we need to work out. Paul said that he dies daily (1 Cor 15:31). Pride goes before destruction (Proverbs 16:18). You can't get lifted up in pride when you are blessed by God because don't know when things will turn.

Acts 16: 25-26

25And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

There is an earthquake that God will allow to hit your life. Pastor Brown was given these revelations concerning the earthquake in Japan:

20,000 were stranded at the airport. Everything that the devil wanted to bring or take away is stranded. He wanted to bring destruction, sickness, ect. Those flights were canceled.

13,000 people were buried alive because of the mudslide. The 13 situations that are alive are trying to kill you. God will bury them alive.

6 Million are with out power. The demons assigned to your life will lose their power because God will wipe it out.

Cameramen were killed in California when attempting to take pictures. They took pictures to keep up with what is going on and to go back and give an account. Every spectator and hater will be wiped out. Refer to Math 18:16:

6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

After the tsunami there were 140 aftershocks. If God gave you everything at once you would not be able to handle it. Your blessing will cause aftershocks.

Scars

The message was brought by Elder Sidney Brown

Galatians 6:17

17From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Paul wanted to be left alone and to not be troubled by man. He had scars from serving Jesus.

A scar is a break in the skin. It leaves a mark. The mark can be ugly. Sometimes the mark are so ugly we don't want people to see them. Scars can also be mental and emotional. There are some scars we wish we can forget about and every time we look at the scars it reminds us of the past. There are some scars we don't want to think about such as a bad car accident, abuse, ect.

Some scars can be used as a testimony to let others know that God was with you. They have a story. We may have small, large, ugly scars but it always reminds us of the past. We will have a lot of heartaches and wounds in this Christian walk. Don't turn your back on God.

Paul says that he bears the mark of Jesus Christ. He was shipwrecked, and he fell on his shoulders. He went to the best schools. It was said that his father pushed his education sine he injured his shoulder and would not be able to do anything physical. He was beaten, stoned, and left for dead because he stood up for Christ. When you stand up for Christ you will be wounded.

2 Cor 4:8
8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Through pain there is sorrow. Hold onto the horn of the altar. If everything is smooth you can't tell people that God will deliver them.

Heb 5:8
 8Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

You can't learn unless you go through some things. You will go through some things. Stop crying and pray for your enemies. Jesus knows about our pain & scars because he went through some things. Job was righteous and went through some things. Job held on.

Job 13:15
15Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Hold onto God's unchanging hands. Jesus learned obedience through what he saw. Jesus came down to save us though he was the son of God.

Psalm 34:19
19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 119:71
71It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Do You Want It?

This was preached by Pastor Stephen Brown during our monthly Sunday Night at the Light service.

John 5: 1 -9

1After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

The man had a dilemma, desperation, and deliverance. A lot of us have a dilemma and we need a miracle to hit our lives.

3In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

You can't hang around people who are worse off than you. If people are always speaking negativity then you need to change your circle.

6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

Jesus asked only one question but the man gave a response that did not have to do with his question. You can come out of your mess if you want to. The man made excuses. He was crippled in his mind.  Some of us are crippled in our mind, faith, and spirit. Whatever is in you will come out (Prov 4:23). Greater is He that is in you that is in the world (1 John 4:4). If you believe that God is greater than your problems you would praise Him when trouble comes. Don't let people talk you out of your miracle. Stop looking for your miracle to happen the same way it has happened for someone else. God has a new and better way for you.

8Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

When Jesus speaks just get up. All you need is a Word and once you step out on the Word keep your eyes on the Word. Peter sank when he took his eyes off of Jesus (Matt 14:22 -31). Whoever calls on Jesus shall be delivered (Romans 10:13).

Saints, We Aint Gonna Faint

Galatians 6:9

9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Miracles are getting ready to get released because of the test you've gone through. You've done all you know to do. You need God to show up. To be weary means to be exhausted. Paul encourages not to be weary. There are 5 seasons: winter, spring, summer, fall and due season.

Your trials are not for nothing. You will get the last laugh because God is on your side. He will never leave your nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). It may look bad but when you hold on you will reap. We can't give up!

Faint - to lose consciousness temporarily. The devil tempted Jesus for a season. The devil is assigned to you for a season. When you make it through that season you will get your due season. Just hold on a little while longer. This is not the time to backslide.

Noah:

God spoke to Noah & told him that it will rain and for him to build an arc. People laughed at him for 120 years. If he could hold on for 120 years then we can hold on for 120 days (Gen 6:9 -22).

You can smell rain before it comes. The smell of abundance is here and someone will walk into their abundance. It's on the way and God is not a man that He should lie, nor is he the son of man that he should repent (Numbers 23:19).

Joseph:

Joseph had a dream about what God told him he was going to do. He went through difficulties for about 20 years. He got into trouble and went to jail for something he didn't do. Joseph was able to interpret the cup bearer. Two years passed when the cup bearer told Pharaoh that Joseph would be able to interpret his dream.(Gen 39-41).You may be in that same position because of bad connections. God will cut the soul ties. Don't look down on others. The same people you look down on may be the same one who will open doors for you one day. If someone hadn't prayed for you, you would still be in that same mess.

David:

He was anointed three times before he became king (1 Sam 16:13, 2 Sam 2:4, 2 Sam 5:3). There is a season of preparation. Your season is now preparing you for your blessing. Greater the testing, greater the blessing. Where there is no misery there is no miracle.

Samuel looked at Jessie's son but asked for David (1 Sam 16). What are you going to do when God blesses you in front of everybody? God is getting ready to send the Word and bless you in front of your enemies. He's tired of you giving your pearls to the swine (Matt 7:6) If they can't roll with you while your down they can't roll with you while you are up.

You may have family members that cause drama but you are the sane one. You have own problems but you are also bearing their problems. Be thankful that God gave you the strength to endure. Don't look down on them. We are to bear one another's burdens (Gal 6:2).

Prophecy to yourself. IF you don't believe in yourself no one else will.

Stop Crying and Get Ready to Shine

Psalm 50:2
2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

2 Corinthians 4:1-10
 1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
 8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
 9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

God has invested in you and that is why the devil is fighting you. The devil doesn't waste his time on someone who is not significant and knows what you can and can not handle.

When the church is in transition look for the signs especially when people are going through at the same time. It's an indication that God is going to do something for a lot of people. God said in his word to arise and shine.

Isaiah 60:1
1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

We are in this together. When the test comes you have to go through with a good attitude. Depression and worry may come. You will get weary but if you faint not you will reap award:

Galatians 6:9

9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

2 Corinthian 4:1 - 10

 1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

We have to be honest if we are going to win the lost. Through transition of the church the devil will darts. There is a separation of the wheat from the tear (Matthew 13:30). God is growing us up from milk to solid food. There were will be people who are unchurched who will come to L.O.G.I.C. You don't know there story and remember that someone prayed you in.

3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Stop being ashamed of the gospel. Somebody should know that you are a Christian. You may be the only gospel that someone reads.Everyone has a gospel. Gospel means the good news. Your gospel may be that you were delivered from drugs, carrying guns, ect. You can't be ashamed to tell it.

Revelations 12:11
11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Amos 6:1
1Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

Start thanking God for grace, mercy, blood and covering.

4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The only way people will come is if they see God is with you. Get your shine on. It has nothing to do with material things. You can have lack but still have a smile. You smile because you know greater is on the way. God is calling us to accountability. Come to church to give to someone else. It's not all about you.

6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

God is commanding us to shine. We can't let circumstances dictate how we feel. God is still good regardless. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said that God is still good even if He didn't deliver them:

Daniel 3:17 -18
17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

We need to have this attitude. Praise should not be dictated by our circumstances.

7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

It has nothing to do with you or I. We can't be arrogant. It's not about our education, our jobs, our business, ect. Those things are sources. God is our resource.  When you walk by faith it's impossible to be arrogant. You don't need a lot of degrees to be successful. When you have a connection with God through prayer and faster there is nothing God won't do for you. Sometimes we miss God through our wish list. Be quiet and listen to God. If we listen we will have less mistakes.

 8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
 9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

You will go through but God is with you. Stop asking God how you got there. God wants us to embrace what He has for us. Trouble doesn't last always.

Job 14:1
1Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.

10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Always represent Christ. We are ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor 5:20).

There are 3 things that a leader must have:

1. Character- There is a standard. This doesn't mean you are perfect and you will make a mistake When you
do mistake pick up yourself and don't wallow in it.

 2. Competence - Know what you are doing.

3. Chemistry - Do people feel uncomfortable around you? There needs to be peace.
