The Bite is Going to Be Alright

Acts 28:1 - 5

1And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
2And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
3And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

When there is a call on your life don't think everything will be alright. You just need to continue to praise God every chance you get.  Don't let the bite ruin your day.

1And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.

They were enjoying the island after they came from a storm.

2And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

The barbarous people came and it appeared that they were being set up for a blessing. You may have come out from one storm to another. What God is getting ready to do, "No eyes have seen, nor ears have heard". ( 1 Cor 2:9)You will receive double for your trouble.

3And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

Paul gathered a bundle of sticks. A viper then came. As soon as the man of God got busy the snake came out of no where. When you get your life together that is when the devil comes out. God will cover you. He is greater than any devil in the world. The devil is mad you stole his position. He will come to kill, steal and destroy  but Jesus came so that you may have an abundant life (John 10:10).

The devil does not waste his time on nobodies. When God has hand selected you there is something special about you. You need to stir up your gifts (2 Timothy 1:6). Don't let the snake bite kill the Word or the what God has for you.

The viper came out of the heat and bit Paul on his hand. If you notice Paul's hands were bitten and not anywhere else on his body. God will bless the work of your hands (Deuteronomy 2:7, Deuteronomy 14:29). Your work of your hands includes your place of employment. Walk in love no matter who bites you. Praise God no matter what happens. Promotion comes from above and not from you.

You may also ask why didn't the viper bite the others? What was designed only for you may kill someone else. You don't know what someone went through for the anointing they have on their life.

4And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

Paul experienced the bite of his life as well as you may have experienced the bite of your life. The people who were supposed to be on Paul's side said that he went though a because of what he used to be which was a murderer. Be careful of who is around you. You are a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Worry about yourself 1st. How can you see the wrong in others but not yourself? Jesus said to take the beam out of your own eye (Matt 7:5).

5And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

Notice that Paul did not suffer any harm. The exact place  where the attack to place is the same place it went back to. Satan is bound in chains of darkness until the day of judgment. The same trap the enemy used against you will be used against them.
