I Want Pentecost In My Life

Acts 2:1-4

1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Holy Ghost fell in the upper room. Jesus breathed the Holy Ghost on his disciples (John 20:22). John the baptised people into repentance. He said:

John 1:27
27 It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

There used to be a time when people testified that they were saved, filled with the Holy Ghost and was on fire. With no fire you are not motivated and are just dry. You should want the fire.

Jesus told His disciples He had to go but Peter did not want Jesus to go. He had to go in order for the Comforter to come:

Matthew 16:21-23:
21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

John 16:7
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

You can't kill yourself because no matter how bad it gets He sends the Comforter. You can't  throw in the towel. You are still here because the Holy Ghost has kept you. The only reason you are not in jail is because the Holy Ghost has kept you.

Jesus told His disciples to tarry for the promise of the Holy Ghost. Tarry simply means to wait until something happens:

Acts 1:1-11
1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
The Holy Spirit Promised

4
And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Jesus Ascends to Heaven

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

50 days after the Ascension the Holy Ghost came down. The next 50 days will be the greatest spiritual days for you. You will wake up thankful, you'll praise God. It will be like non other. Every waking moment Jesus will be on your mind.God will reveal himself.

People were called crazy at the day of Pentecost:

Acts 2:5-13

5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”

When you have the Holy Ghost, you have power and you won't accept what is going on in the natural.

Acts 2

1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

The key to experiencing the Holy Ghost: He is looking for people who are of one mindset. When we get on one accord God commands a blessing (Psalm 133). We have to get together if we want to be blessed together. It is like the oil that fell on Aaron's beard.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

What are you going to do when the blessing comes suddenly? Can you imagine how the disciples felt when they were waiting on the Holy Ghost? When you do what God says He will give you what you desire Just do it. God is getting ready to do a switch. It's important to sit because implies you are in order. You have to learn to sit. You'd be surprise what God will do. How can God bless you when you are moving? Even gangs will kill you when you are out of order. God talked to Mose face to face and was God's mouth piece. Miriam was out of order by speaking against Moses and became a leper (Numbers 12).

3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

When you sit the fire sits on you. When you are moving the Holy Ghost can not rest on you. Just when the Holy Spirit's blessing is about to hit your life you move and sin.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

God is not going to leave anyone out. God is going to fill everyone with a brand new blessing. How bad do you want it? It will give you power to flee from sin You can have the power to lay hands on the sick and they will get healed.
