Don't Look Down on Me Today Because You Might Be Looking Up to Me Tomorrow

Mark 10:29-31
9 So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

You may be in the trial of your life because you are walking in the Way. You leave everything for the gospel's sake but you are rewarded, You will be persecuted. When you got saved things got worse. The devil didn't mind you when you were on his side. Now you are being persecuted. Continue to praise God out of it. Be glad that the blood covers you and your family. No one told you that you'll have to go through hell on earth to get to heaven. You have people hating on you even though you have less than them. They see the gift, favor, and anointing you possess. They didn't understand why God will put his hand on a person like you who is broke, uneducated, ect. It will get greater later.

You've been praying, praising, giving tithes and it seems like nothing is changing. God is getting ready to change things. You may have to give up some things (i.e relationships). It seems like when you try to leave something is trying to pull you down. Learn not to look back like Lot's wife (Gen 19:26). Keep your eye on the prize. Learn how to cut folk off in church. They are the ones holding you back.

Persecution - to injure or afflict.

People will try to injure you. The devil can use anyone who opens themselves up. You have to declare war on the devil in the spirit. Learn how to strike 1st. The devil will oppress and persecute you. He will expose those who are doing better than you and are not even serving God. The wicked will prosper but God will have the last laugh (Psalm 1). He will make the mortgage rates go down, the price of gas will go down, ect. God will reverse things. Keep praising God in the drought and dry season. He will make you the lender and not the borrower, the head and not the tail (Deut 28:12-13), blessed in the field, going in and going out. Deut 28:3,5).

Matt 5:10
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Don't be surprised when people persecute you. Know people that labor around you and people who are for you. Some people may hate you know but wait until you have a brand new car, house, spouse. You'll really be hated then. Wait until you have money in your pocket.

Don't let folks into your business and don't let people worry about how you are making it. They weren't there when you were going through hell. Tell them, "I got this."

There is nothing like being qualified due to favor. Learn to set your spiritual antennae up. Learn how to take a licking and keep on ticking. Bless and curse not (Rom 12:4). Don't worry about who doesn't like you. They are just advertising for you. Let people talk. After persecution comes affliction. With affliction people try to really hurt you. Stop being gullible. People want to see you afflicted. You have to have the audacity to change your circle. Let people call you funny. Affliction is good for you. You can't appreciate God until you are afflicted. When you have an experience you make a better witness. The same people who were around you when you had money you can't find them.

Psalm 34:19
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

Psalm 119:71

71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.

It's easy to say God is good when you never been through anything. you won't been in your bad stop forever. You are getting ready to testify for real.

1 Peter 4:12

12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;

If you are not special in God you would have been gone a long time ago. There's something great about you God is getting ready to deliver you from your trial. You've been faithful but don't understand why you are in the same class. He will let you stay there until he sees a reflection of Himself. What God has for you has not been seen or heard before.

1 Cor 2:9
9 But as it is written:

“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”[a]

You are ready to go higher.
