Debt Free

Message was preached at Sunday Night at the Light at LOGIC.

Exodus 12:35-36

New King James Version (NKJV)

35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. 36 And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

There are 6 instances where God transferred wealth from the wicked and gave it to the righteous. Moses asked to borrow from the Egyptians. They represent the world. They borrowed from the world. They had favor.

Exodus 14:22

New King James Version (NKJV)

22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

They were chased. Moses separated the sea and after he did so the enemies drowned. Since they died who were they going to pay back? If who you borrowed from was wiped out then who will you pay back (Not to say God will literally wipe out those you borrowed from).

2 Kings 6:1-7

New King James Version (NKJV)

1 And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us. 2 Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.”
So he answered, “Go.”
3
Then one said, “Please consent to go with your servants.”
And he answered, “I will go.” 4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. 5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”
6
So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. 7 Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.

They were working and the ax head fell into the water. He cried because he borrowed it and was instantly in debt.

6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.

Iron doesn’t swim. The debt that he lost was instantly paid off because he listed to the man of God. Why did he get a stick. If it doesn’t meet a need then it is a seed. Little fish and bread was used feed thousands (Mark 14:17-21). God will cancel your debt.

2 Kings 4:1-7

New King James Version (NKJV)

1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”
2
So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
3
Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
5
So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. 6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

Some of you have debt that is inherited. The husband left her in debt. She was asked what was in her possession. She was asked to borrow. Every now and then you have to get crazy.

Deuteronomy 15:1-2

New King James Version (NKJV)

1 “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. 2 And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD’s release.

Every debt incurred from the last 7 years is the night of the Lord’s release. Blessings are getting ready to overtake you.

Proverbs 10:22

New King James Version (NKJV)

22 The blessing of the LORD makes one rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it.

When the devil does something crazy we have to do something crazy. We are going to the enemy’s camp to take back what was stolen.

Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord (Exodus 14:13, 2 Chronicles 20:17).
