iGive

Mal 3:8
8 “ Will a man rob God?
      Yet you have robbed Me!
      But you say,

‘ In what way have we robbed You?’
      In tithes and offerings.

Tithe = the debt we owe
Offering = seed we sow

God wants the offering on top of the tithe. God is saying you are robbing when you are not doing both.

Luke 6:38
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Giving demands that you receive and you have to put expectancy when you give. It will be given back. You have to put yourself in the position to receive. You need at least one person to like and believe in you. We are on earth to dominate.

Psalm 24:1
1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.

Put yourself in a position to receive favor from someone. You have to be a liberal giver and not be stingy. You don't only have to give money, but your time, skill, ect. When you practice giving then you will be the person who gives. Do you want friends? Then show yourself friendly and you will reap friends.

Luke 6:38
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

We are blessed to be a blessing. We are to be a channel where money flows through. Give and don't worry if someone pays you back.

2 Cor 9:6-7
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

When you give God will fall in love with you. He loves a cheerful giver. God doesn't like it when we give grudgingly. There is a thin line between faith and foolishness. Foolishness is dressed up in faith's clothing. When you give make sure it is of God. Where your treasure is so is your heart (Matt 6:21).

2 Cor 9:10
10 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

God gives you seed to sow and food to eat. We are getting seeds mixed up with our bread.

John 6:1-15
1 After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased. 3 And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples.
4 Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. 5 Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” 6 But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.”
8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”
10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” 13 Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. 14 Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Jesus used the bread he had to feed the multitude. There was even bread left over to fill 12 baskets!

Acts 10:4
4 And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?”
So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.

Your deeds/donations are a a memorial to God. When you bless the poor you are qualified by God to be remembered.  There is no greater feeling then helping the less fortunate.

Prov 28:27
20 A faithful man will abound with blessings,
But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Heb 6:10
10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God will not forget every seed you have sown, good or bad. You reap what you sow.

Matt 10:42
42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
