Mark 5:1-13

And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. ⁵ And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
⁶ When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. ⁷ And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”
⁸ For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” ⁹ Then He asked him, “What is your name?”
And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” ¹⁰ Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.
¹¹ Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. ¹² So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” ¹³ And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.

Satan is not an artificial character taught in Sunday school. We are fighting a real devil everyday. When you are doing good an attack will come out of  nowhere. You are special to God. The devil has an assignment on your life

John 10:10

¹⁰ The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Halloween is the devil’s holiday. You want the spirit of God to rest in your home but you are dressed like devils and demons, etc. Don’t go to a Halloween party but pray instead.

Mark 5:2-3

Jesus had rebuked the storm and there was a great calm (Mark 5:35-39). After the miracle here comes the devil. You may not understand why this is happening to you. If the devil is not messing with you, you are not important.

Luke 6:26

²⁶ Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false prophets.

This devil was someone else’s devil. Are you always praying for someone? You may feel like you are going to lose your mind. It’s an awesome responsibility to deal with your devil’s and other people’s devils as well.

Mark 5:4

⁴ because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.

This devil you are fighting no man can tame. No weapon formed against you can prosper(Isaiah 54:17). You can’t fight in the natural. You have to get a hold of the devil in the spirit.

Ephesians 6:12

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

You will have to tap into the Holy Ghost in you. You may not understand the test but tell God you receive where He is trying to take you. You can’t expect the devil to behave. Don’t get the material things and not have the Holy Ghost.

Mark 8:36

³⁶ For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

How much Holy Ghost and Jesus do you have inside of you?

Mark 5:6


 ⁶ When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 

The devil worshipped Jesus. If the devil has enough sense to worship Him what about ourselves? Find something to praise God about. We let our problems weigh us down. Tell your problesm how big your God is.

Mark 5:10


¹⁰ Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

When it is deliverance time the devil will try to bargain with you. He doesn’t want to let you go. God is  trying to break up what the devil has put together. You hae the strength to tell the devil I’m not ________ anymore. You can’t be confortable in sin. It’s alraight to struggle. As long as you struggle you know it’s uncomfortable to you. God’s not having you do what you want to do. Sin keeps you longer than you want to stay and pay more than what you want to pay.

Mark 5:13


¹³ And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.


The same devil that was in legion, that was in the man was the same devil that asked Jesus for permission,  to go into the swine was the same devil that killed the pigs. People can't walk in your shoes. If they had to fight the same devil they would be dead. The death angel came by and couldn’t touch those who had the blood on the door. The blood today saved your life.

Exodus 12:23

²³ For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

Who is the Holy Ghost Part 4

Luke 1:35

³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

What the Holy Ghost brings is power and we need His power. Whenever you leave church you are supposed to be filled with a newer level of the Holy Ghost. We are worried instead of our problems.

Luke 1:35

³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

Anointed means to be smeared, greased down. Good took the Holy Ghost and rubbed it on Jesus. You get rubbed down by spending time with Jesus. When you are around food you end up smelling like the food. If you spend time with Jesus you will smell of the presence of the Holy Ghost. The devil has power as well.

Exodus 7:8-13

Aaron’s Miraculous Rod  

⁸ Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ⁹ “When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent.’” ¹⁰ So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
¹¹ But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. ¹² For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. ¹³ And Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the LORD had said.

 

The devil is nothing but a copy cat. God is the originator of origination. No one can be like you. The Holy Ghost filled Christian has to be doing good. You will have bad days but through it all you will come on top. When you have the Holy Ghost you should be giving the devil chaos like he gives it to us but even more. When you are filled with the Holy Ghost people will know God is with you.

Matthew 10:1

¹ And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

 

When God calls you He will give you power to cast out the devil. You will get the power by being close to Him. When you miss the call you miss the deposit. The Holy Ghost is trying to get your attention. Don't miss your appointment.

 

Isaiah 10:27

²⁷ It shall come to pass in that day
      That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
      And his yoke from your neck,
      And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
     

The anointing is a burden remover. When you are anointed some struggles should be removed. Make sure you are anointed and not appointed.Shake the devil off and put him under your feet. You can't do anything you want to do or say anything you want to say and please God:

It does not matter how much education you have, your knowledge of the Bible, who you know, what you do, if you know Greek and Hebrew. The preaching does not start until God shows up.

You Got the Right One

Zechariah 4:6

      “ This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:

      ‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
      Says the LORD of hosts. 

The people were trying to build a temple for God but faced opposition. You may something big before God. When you have something bigger than your strength then you know God is speaking to you. The year 2012 will be your year and the year of total recovery. God has been preparing you. You've had set back after set back and things after things happen. Like Job said:

 ¹⁵ Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.
      Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.

You may not understand why you are going through what you are going through. It seems like those who aren't trying to live right have it easy. You are getting ready to get to the other side of hell. Your misery will be your miracle and your test will become your testimony. You are to blessed to be stressed.

The Lord sends a Word to the prophet. What's getting ready to happen will have nothing to do with you but by God's power by the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost alone. You've got to put the sin aside and you can't play around with God's Word. God can't move when you are in the way.

Zerubbabel came up against opposition:

1. They had a difficulty.

If you don't have a difficulty then that vision is not from God. You will start with difficulty. Opposition comes from outside and inside the camp. Having a Judas is a sign to you. We all need a Judas. You know you have something from God. You need to take an inventory of your circle and God will reveal every snake around you, who is praying for your. What God has for you is for you.

1 Corinthians 2:9

      The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

2. They encountered discouragement.


We are taught in church we can never be down but sometimes we do feel like we are going to lose our minds. Elijah felt discouraged:

⁴ But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”

It's alright to be discouraged but you need to get yourself together. You're not the only one going through. If could be worse.

Galatians 6:9

⁹ And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Thank God for due season.

Joshua was magnified in all of Israel:

3. They faced danger.

When the vision is so big you are in danger of being labeled as psychotic, crazy. You are not crazy. You are a fool for Christ.

²⁷ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

When you have a vision there are special demons assigned to your life.

Philippians 1:6

⁶ being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

You may be labeled a fool but it will be worth it.


4. All of that lead to them to their deliverance/breakthrough.


You have to be tried. Who is trying to kill you for what you believe? Apostles were killed for what they believed. Stephen spoke and was killed (Acts 6). Who wants to go back to when people were being miraculously being healed by the way of the power of the Holy Ghost? In the book of Acts people were healed

Jesus Promises Another Helper

 ¹⁵ “If you love Me, keep My commandments. ¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— ¹⁷ the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
1. Remember the Holy Ghost is an "it". 

He is a person. You can't define whether or not the Holy Ghost is there by someone, jumping, speaking in tongues, etc. He can be manifested that way but the devil can imitate as well.


2. He is Jesus' answered prayer.

¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—


3. He's a Spirit of truth. 

¹⁷ the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

It's hard to get off track if you are in communion/fellowship with Him everyday. There is no excuse to be married to the wrong person, have the wrong job, etc. We are not listening which is the problem. You know how your spouse communicates. When you spend time with Him you know what He likes, what grieves Him.

Ephesians 4:30

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

 4.He is the great reminder.

John 14:26

²⁶ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

He will give you a relevant word to say when you minister to someone.

5. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Christ.

1 Peter 1:10-11

¹⁰ Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, ¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

John the Baptist was filled in the womb (Luke 1:41). Isaiah was ordained as a prophet in the womb (Jer 1:5). The word Christ means the anointed one.

The Answered Prayer

    ¹² “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

You don't have to call the preacher or prophet. You can go to the hospital and lay hands and speak a word. Every now and then speak a word instead of going to the doctor.

6. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of life.

Romans 8:2

² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

When you are baptized with the Holy Ghost it's hard to be depressed all the time. Speak life to yourself.

³⁶ Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

John 6:63

⁶³ It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

All you need is one Word from God to get you from level to the next. Words have seasons. You can't live off of the the Word you got 6 months ago.


7. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of adoption.

Romans 8:14-15

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

He took us and baptized us into the body of Christ. When you adopt you select and choose who you want. You choose to take care of the baby. You have the same rights and inheritance, privilege as the biological child. We should thank God we ave the same right, privilege and benefits as God's chosen people. If God healed, saved someone else what makes you think He won't do the same for you. He's not a respecter of person (Acts 10:34) but He is a respecter of faith. You don't know what someone did to get their breakthrough.


8. He's the Spirit of freedom.

2 Corinthians 3:17

¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

 When you have the Holy Ghost you can be free from things. Not to say the spirit of bondage will not attack you. The Holy Ghost will keep you if you want to be kept.

Elisha and the Widow’s Oil

² So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
³ Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. ⁴ And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
⁵ So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. ⁶ Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. ⁷ Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

Mary asked how was she going to get pregnant. The angels said by the power invested in her:

We think we have to do certain things to be blessed. Always be aware of the anointing level on your life. There's a power in you if you just tap into you. You need to be the best you can be because there is no other like you.

1 John 4:4

In 2 Kings 4:1-7 we see that a prophet was anointed but left his son and wife and debt. Just because you are anointed does not mean you know how to handle finances. They were left in a dilemma. She's in a tough situation and doesn't know what to do. He asked asked her what does she have. All you need is a little bit. You need to check your house and see what you have inside of you. You have what you need to get out of debt if you have confidence. What you have is going to bring you out.

There will come a time when you can't run to the preacher, the prophet, or your grandmother. Analyze what you have inside of you for yourself. When you rest in what God has called you to do is when the blessings will come. What do you have in your own house?

2 Kings 4:3


³ Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 

She is already in debt and now she's being asked to get into more debt. Every now and then you have to do something crazy. Your are in that rut because you haven't started that thing God told you to do. You have to do what other's wont' do. She was asked to borrow from her neighbor. You don't need just Jesus but others as well.

Deuteronomy 32:30

 ³⁰ How could one chase a thousand,
      And two put ten thousand to flight,
      Unless their Rock had sold them,
      And the LORD had surrendered them?

If we can just squash our issues and get along with others. The Bible says:

Amos 3:3

Don't look down on others. You don't know how God can flip things.

2 Kings 4:4-5

⁴ And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
⁵ So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out.  

She had a little oil. and it multiplied after she obeyed. The miracle didn't come until she did something crazy. A miracle goes against all natural laws. You have to break a few laws. Only she and her son were allowed. Some people can't come with you to the next level. People may love you now because you are broke but watch what happens when God blesses you.  God will remove people who are sucking you dry.

2 Kings 4:6

⁶ Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”

This next  miracle that God does isn't going anywhere. It seems like God blessed you before but it didn't stay.

2 Kings 4:7

⁷ Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

The miracle came and she was able to pay off her debt and had left overs to take care of her and her children. It's time for you to get ready for the overflow. This is a sustaining miracle.

Who is the Holy Ghost Part 2

Luke 1:35

The Holy Ghost is not an "it". The Holy Ghost is a person and is the 3rd person in the God head. He is a person and He is God.

1. He's omnipotent.

Psalm 139:7-9

 ⁷ Where can I go from Your Spirit?
         Or where can I flee from Your presence?
 ⁸ If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
         If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
 ⁹ If I take the wings of the morning,

There is no greater power. He is the power source of the God head.

Genesis 1:1-2

 ¹In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

The Holy Spirit hovered over the waters after God spoke it.

2. He's omnipresent.



He is everywhere at the same time in the totality of his being. You can't run from the Holy Ghost. Jonah tried to run from God:

The Storm at Sea

⁵ Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep.
⁶ So the captain came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.”
⁷ And they said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. ⁸ Then they said to him, “Please tell us! For whose cause is this trouble upon us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?”
⁹ So he said to them, “I am a Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

¹⁰ Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “Why have you done this?” For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. ¹¹ Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you that the sea may be calm for us?”—for the sea was growing more tempestuous.

Jonah’s Prayer and Deliverance

 
¹⁷ Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

If God needs to give you a dream, talk through someone, a child, etc He will do it to speak to you. The devil is not omnipresent . He sends his demons.

3. He is omniscient.

He is all knowing.

1 Corinthians 2:10-11

  ¹⁰ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. ¹¹ For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

He knows how you were going to get here and when, who you will marry, how many kids. If you want answers ask God. Get to know Him. Just like in a relationship when you want to get to know him or her you spend time with him or her.When you are praying you are praying to the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the spirit of Christ and is inside of you.

John 10:27

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

You can't date or marry the wrong person when you have the Holy Ghost. When you have the Holy Ghost you can't act any way and come to church like you've never sin. You can't say what you want to say.

4. He is God Himself.

Acts 5:3-4

³ But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? ⁴ While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

When people lie to you they are lying to the Holy Ghost. Don't hold back God's money (i.e tithes). Because He is God you are the head and not the tail, the lender and not the borrower (Deut 28:44).

5.The Holy Spirit talks to us.

Revelation 2:7

⁷ “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’

God always talks but you are not listening. He talks to you about your next step. You have an ear yourself to hear.

6. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us.

Romans 8:26

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The Holy Ghost helps our infirmities, helps us to get out of problems. He can speak through groans. If you don't know what to say speak in tongues, if you can't speak in tongues just moan and groan. He is praying for us right now.

Satan Tempts Jesus

 ¹ Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

If you are feeling forced or pushed it is probably the devil. The Holy Ghost leads and guides. Pay attention to your life and signs. If God tells you to do the strangest thing just do it. You may be in a jam because you were disobedient. You can't blame anyone but yourself. God will let you have something something that you wanted so bad just to let you know you didn't need it. What you don't give up for God you will lose it anyway.

7.The Holy Ghost appoints you.

Acts 20:28

²⁸ Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

An overseer is a bishop. Who called you? Are you sure you are to be an evangelist, prophetess, teacher, pastor, etc? Man disappoints. If God called you there is nothing anyone can do. If man calls you then he can hang you up. If you do something man doesn't like he can take it all away. Don't let man discourage you from your calling. Use your talents to glorify God. You couldn't have done _________ with out God.

John 14:19 tells us He will be with us and is in us. He draws us and softens our heart.

Got Power?

Mark 16:15-20

¹⁵ And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. ¹⁶ He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. ¹⁷ And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
¹⁹ So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.


You will draw two types of people- those who are in need and those who can help your ministry. Make sure you have power. People are shopping for churches 2011. There's not much power in the house of God. We do also need to be a relevant church. We are called to the Go of the Gospel and walk in power. We should be able to go to the hospital and lay hands on the sick and drive out devils in the name of Jesus. We have to desire another level of God.


Isaiah 10:27


²⁷ It shall come to pass in that day
      That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
      And his yoke from your neck,
      And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

The anointing is a burden remover. The power is for everyone Until you think it is supposed to happen it won't. You should be leading a traffic jam because signs are following you.God may shift your anointing. Don't let people distract you. If you try to be what people want you to be you will miss what God wants you to be.


Regarding casting out demons you must deal with the person 1sst. The person has to want to be delivered. You never saw Jesus laying hands on people to cast out demons. He spoke to them. In the church we wrestle with demons because we are not learned.

If the devil doesn't know your name you should be concerned. There were some men who tried to cast out demons but the same demons that they tried to cast out came on them:

¹¹ Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, ¹² so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. ¹³ Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” ¹⁴ Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
¹⁵ And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
¹⁶ Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. ¹⁷ This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. ¹⁸ And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. ¹⁹ Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. The Holy Ghost is living in you.


1 Thes 5:19


¹⁹ Do not quench the Spirit.

We have to live right.


Romans 11:29 (KJV)



²⁹For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

God will not remove the gifts even if we are not living right. You have to have discernment to know what's of God. Know the difference between the power of God and the presence of God.


You build yourself up when you speak in tongues. The spirit of God prays through you. The devil doesn't now what you are praying.


Mark 16:18


¹⁸ they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The power stopped any harm from coming.


Acts 10:38


³⁸ how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Signs followed Jesus. To be anointed is to be smeared with the glory, tangible presence of God. You can tell when someone has God with them. Olive oil is used on the sheep to keep the flies away. When the flies come the they slip off. When God smears His anointing on you the flies are not able to harm you.



Amos 6:1

¹ Woe to you who are at ease in Zion,
      And trust in Mount Samaria,
      Notable persons in the chief nation,
      To whom the house of Israel comes! 

Duet 32:20


³⁰ How could one chase a thousand,
      And two put ten thousand to flight,
      Unless their Rock had sold them,
      And the LORD had surrendered them?

Matt 9:35

³⁵ Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 


This should be happening today. The same power that is available today by way of the Holy Spirit.

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

¹² “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.


Jesus was a preacher, teacher and a healer.



Dan 11:32

³² Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

You shall be strong and somethings should be happening when you leave church. You can start by controlling your tongue, loving your enemies, being honest with other people, being nice to your spouse, etc.

Holy Ghost Power is Necessary

1 Cor 2:4-5
⁴ And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, ⁵ that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

We have microwave churches and convenient churches. There is nothing wrong with cutting edge technology or innovative ways to bring people to church but the churches need to have power. Learn all you can but in the midst of it you have to have power. Education doesn't mean anything without power.

Phil 3:8
⁸ Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

If we don't have the Holy Ghost we are in trouble. When did church become about convenience? God will send the Holy Ghost to those who want to see God move.


Demonstration of the Spirit

1 Cor 1:27
²⁷ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Be careful of what you label what you don't understand. There are some who are spiritually gifted. Take Sylvia Brown. She is a psychic who the FBI calls on to help save cases What would happen if the FBI instead called the Holy Spirit filled people instead!

Demonstration of the Power


Acts 1:8
⁸ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This should be a devil casting church. Peter, Paul, Jesus and the disciples raised the dead. God used Kathryn Kuhlman to performed miracles. We don't even want to go to the hospital to pray for the people. All we say is gimme, gimme. We need to learn to cast the devil out.


1 Cor 2:5
⁵ that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

People should say that they have seen enough because all that God has done.


Psalm 23:5
⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
         You anoint my head with oil;
         My cup runs over. 

A little dab won't do it. How much do you want it? You've go so much you have enough oil for everyone.

Isaiah 10:27

The anointing is the burden remover, yoke destroying power. There are no more burdens or yokes being destroyed today. If you want the Holy Ghost to move you have to get on your knees. Salvation costs nothing but the anointing costs everything. You will have to give up some things. If these preachers were so anointed, had power like they had money they will be able to lay hands on people and they will get delivered. You have power when the devil knows your name.

The Power of Agreement

Amos 3:3 ³Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

If you are going to offer a sacrifice to God then all areas of your life has to be in agreement with God.

Gen 34:1-7
¹And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.
 ²And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.
 ³And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.
 ⁴And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife.
 ⁵And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come.
 ⁶And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him.
 ⁷And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter: which thing ought not to be done.

When you lay down with someone you are married to that person. There is something in you that won't let go. We have to understand the spiritual consequences when we have sex outside of marriage. God will send you your spouse. Be careful about talking about your ex. Stop comparing your ex with your current girl/boyfriend and spouse. If you cause damage and hurt it can take a while to heal. Wives should affirm their husbands. Men should speak to their ladies what they would like for them to wear and not tear them down.

You can't not bring your old mentality into dating. The old man has passed away (2 Cor 5:17). Look for the signs that the other person will bail out on you. If he or she will bail out on you while dating then he or she will bail out on you in the marriage. Communication is important. You can't make decisions with out consulting with your spouse. When you are in accord you will see the blessings of God. Life is better when you are in peace with the other person.

For the singles: don't sleep with the other person and then get to know them. That's the world's way of doing things. Get to know the person and do not have sex. You are interviewing when dating. You may think you are in love but you are in lust. Let your parents get to know the person you are dating. Your parents have wisdom.  Keep people out of your business especially if you are married.

2 Cor 6:14-16
¹⁴Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
 ¹⁵And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
 ¹⁶And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Proverbs 14:1
¹Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands

Prov 25:24
²⁴It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.

A man needs compliments and women like details. If you want peace you have to compliment the women. Women should learn how to celebrate their men. Know what type of man you have. You may have a husband who is not a handy man but makes sure things are fixed around the house.

It's important to be equally yoked but you can be unequally yoked with other Christians (i.e different denominations). If you are going to date do it for real. Stop playing games. If it's not going to be done right then it shouldn't be done at all.

For the singles try on holding on longer. Sex is not food. you can live with out it. If you've made a mistake just repent and don't do it again. You are cheating in the spirit when you lay down with another person. Practice discipline now. It helps to kill the flesh in marriage. Marriage will not help you to be faithful.

The Power of Money - Lord Make Me a Blessing

Gen 12:1-3

¹Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
 ²And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
 ³And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Special attention is given to verse 2. God will make you the head and not the tail, the lender and not the borrower, you will be blessed going in and going out. We've been asking God when is our time coming. God will bless you because people need to see God blessing you.

1. We need to get out of our comfort zone. Watch who is in your circle and expose yourself to greatness.

Money is needed to advance the gospel. Cities can change with money. Don't let people speak negativity into your life and let you believe that you will always struggle.


2. Get away from your family.

There are times you will need to stay away from your family for a season. Don't let them hold you back or disrespect you. Don't let them run your marriage. Change can not be feared. Some people will never get the increase until they step out in faith and do the thing that God has called them to do. God needs to see if He can trust you.

3. Get to your Father's house.

The House is where there is protection and provision. We have to give up what has been given to us freely (such as parents taking care of our bills). If this doesn't happen we won't have the tenacity to do things on our own. Each generation should be greater than the last. When we leave to go to our Father's house we can bless those who have blessed us. We also need to be a blessing to our parents as well. We fear leaving our parent's home because we don't know where to go. A vision and plan is needed. Also trust that God will guide your next steps.

Stay away from cliques. There will be a backlash when God blesses you. You have to determine that you have been where you are too long. When you step out in faith you can't put the faith pressure on God.

Gen 12:3

 ³And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

When you sow for a season he will turn you into soil and make your name great. Can he change your name?

Remember you are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, you will be the borrower and not the lender and you are debt free by faith.

The Power of Money - The Power of Giving

Malachi 3:8

 ⁸Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

This scripture was not talking to the church. The church was not birthed until the book of Acts. It was speaking to the Levitical priesthood. Tithing was done before the law. Abraham tithed to Melchizedek (See Genesis 14: 17 - 20). Melchizedek had no beginning or end. God will step in the fire with you and He will show up on your behalf when people are attacking you. Melchizedek was Jesus.

When you don't tithe you are robbing God. The tithe is 10%. It is the debt that you owe. The offering is the seed that you sow. A tithe is returned and an offering is given. The tithe and the offerings are two seperate things. To receive more you have to give more.

There is a difference between a thief and a robber. A thief is sly, creepy, puts on a mask. A robber is bold and will steal in broad daylight.

Luke 6:38 

³⁸Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Man runs the earth. God doesn't have access unless it is through man. It is our own fault if we are broke and we have to do something about it. You can't be stingy because a closed fist can not receive anything. Sometimes you have to give your way out. One day you will be the man (Luke 6:38) who will doing the giving.

If it is not in your heart to give it is best to keep your money. God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). If you feel a tugging on your heart that is God telling you to give.

2 Corinthians 9:10 

¹⁰Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

The seed and the harvest is often confused. If it doesn't meet a need it is a seed. Don't eat your seed.

Acts 10:1-4

 ¹There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
 ²A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
 ³He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
 ⁴And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.


Alms is any kind of money, food, clothing,ect that is given to the poor.

Proverbs 28:27
  ²⁷He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Matt 14:16 - 21 

¹⁶But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
 ¹⁷And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
 ¹⁸He said, Bring them hither to me.
 ¹⁹And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
 ²⁰And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
 ²¹And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

When you give God positions you for the overflow. Notice that there were 12 baskets, one for each disciples. Little in your hand become big in His hands.

You live to give.

The Power of Money - Is He Worth a Dime?

Learn how to think wealthy and stop thinking your job is the only way to wealth. God didn't just send Jesus so you can get to heaven but to also have heaven on earth. Everyone has increase on their life. You can't do anything with out money. When you don't tithe you are saying God is not worth a dime. Tithing is part of the Old and the New Testament.

Malachi 3:10

¹⁰Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

This is right and it is for today. You tithe because we love God and not because you are afraid of being cursed. Blessing = Empowerment for heaven. Favor can take you further than heaven.

Tithing = 10%

There are 3 kinds of people

1. Committed - These are the people who will tithe no matter what and knows it is right.

2. Uncommitted - They have the attitude that the church should be grateful for a little offering. They are not ready to tithe.

3. Uninformed - They just don't know about tithing.

Be wise with the 90% that you have.When you start keeping 10 % it creates a whole lot of problems. If you don't make much God doesn't want much. If you make much He wants much. Adam touched the one thing that God told him not to touch and now look at the mess we are in.

Gen 28: 20 -22

²⁰And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
 ²¹So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
 ²²And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.


Tithing brings protection, God's presence and provision. Giving a seed with out tithing is like tipping the waiter without paying for the meal.

Proverbs 3:9 - 10

⁹Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
¹⁰So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Don't expect God to bring you out of a problem quickly when you have spent years robbing God. Don't let people talk you out of tithing. Tithe off of the money from your job and any source of money. Your job is a resource and not a source. You need to store up in heaven so God will provide when problems arise and when people turn on you. Do not tithe off of borrowed money. That is not an increase. That is money that needs to be paid back.

God may not be freely giving to you because you are not giving what belongs to Him.

The Power of Money - Money is a Defense

The Power of Money Series

Ecclesiastes 7:12

For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

You must believe that you deserve to be financially blessed, financially free, and financially wealthy. You have to have the right relationship with money. Then God will give you more.

Money is the defense:

The majority of our problems stems from lack of money.

1. When you have money you will be strong and stop problems (i.e. family, mortgage, utility bills)

2. It brings respect - You have to believe that you have the right to be blessed.

3. It helps your health

4. It answers Family problems.

5. You should want money to leave an inheritance to your children. 

6. Ministries need money - People don't care about how much you know until you show how much you care.

7. It brings protection.

    Ecclesiastes 9:14 -15

   ¹⁴There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and
      built great bulwarks against it:
  ¹⁵Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man
      remembered that same poor man.

Note in vs 15 that though the wise man helped to deliver the city but because he was poor no one remembered him.

Luke 21: 1- 5

¹And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
 ²And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
 ³And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
 ⁴For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Because she gave her all she even got the attention of Jesus. We can not have a nonchalant attitude when we give an offering to God.

Proverbs 18:16

¹⁶A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

A gift does not mean your talent. Gift in Hebrew is mattan which means a bountiful, liberal person.

8. It will bring you before great men

  Proverbs 14:20

  ²⁰The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

 Believe that God wants to change your financial status. Be careful of what you speak Death and life are in the power of the tongue  (Proverbs 18:21). God wants to give you so much so that you will be a blessing to others.

¹⁰For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Money itself is not evil. It depends on the hands it is in. Money can be used to feed the poor and help the homeless but it can also be used for drug deals and to gamble.

Your change is on its way. You just don't know where it is coming from.
